South Manchester born and Bred, Dennis Hanse, is a long time Wythenshawe resident, working for Manchester City Council in Facilities Management. At WFM he is able to combine his passions of radio and film.

As an experienced actor, screenwriter and director of film, stage and radio, he has been making short films all for over twenty five years, including work aired on Granada and the BBC.

He's also part of First Cut Media Performing Arts and Shooting Creatives, and has received multi awards These include Best Photography for 'A Love Beyond' at the British International Amateur Film Festival 2025, following on from the 2024 award winning Prostate Cancer awareness film 'When In Doubt Get It Checked Out'.

Away from the show he works for Manchester City Council in Facilities Management.

Dennis has been presenting The Film Show for the past 15 years, covering the latest movie news, movie reviews, famous birthdays, biographies plus movie making tips, guest interviews, cinema releases and movie songs.
